WebFeb 13, 2024 · Turns out the 12V outlet in front works. BMW as of 2024 has installed a shorter 12V outlet in front. Many plugs now don't reach far enough into them for the side terminals to make contact. The trunk plug is still a deeper socket. Googling found some instances of people having the same issue with other BMW models.
